**** IMPORTANT NOTE FUTURE NEWSLETTERS ****
We are shifting the delivery of this newsletter to e-mail and will only
send paper copies to residents who request it. This change will result in significant
postage savings and more timely communications for our subdivision. We will still
send postcards out on occasion for key events (Annual Meeting, Cookout, etc.)
|
Annual Garage Sale - The annual garage sale will be held on Saturday, June 10th. Although this event is not sponsored by the Hawthorne Hills Homeowners' Association, many residents look forward to and participate in it. Remember, there will be extra traffic on this day. Please be careful and watch for pedestrians. Contact Shauna Thompson (662-0097) if you have questions regarding participation in the sale.
Annual Cookout - Our annual cookout will be on Sunday, August 27th from 4pm to 7pm. Music, hot dogs, brats, and snacks will be provided. Be sure to mark your calendars.
Park Notes - For safety reasons, the use of projectile weapons such as AirSoft guns, pellet guns, paintball guns, and bows & arrows is prohibited in the park and common areas. As a reminder, the park closes at 10:00 p.m. and is for residents only. Also, we will be resurfacing the tennis courts in late June. The courts will be unavailable for one or two days during the resurfacing process.
Please Recycle! - In a lifetime, the average American will throw away 600 times his or her adult weight in garbage. This means that each adult will leave a legacy of 90,000 lbs. of trash for his or her children. Please be sure to take advantage of the recycling services Bloomington offers in conjunction with their garbage collection. You can call Bloomingtons Public Service Department at 434-2220 for specific instructions on how to prepare recyclable products for collection and to request that recycle bins and/or instructions/schedule be delivered to your residence. The city of Normal also provides drop off boxes and Kroger and Wal-Mart for recycling.
