PARK IMPROVEMENTS
The following improvements have been completed  for the Hawthorne Hills
park:
 - Numerous dead, damaged or overgrown trees and shrubs were removed  from various areas in the Park
- One tree, 15 feathered reed grasses and 40 hostas were installed as replacements
- Entire area was re-mulched and pruning was completed where necessary.


OUR ANNUAL COOKOUT...
....will be held in the park starting at 4 p.m. on Sunday August 24.  Mark your calendars and come on down to visit with your neighbors.  Check our our website for photos from last year's picnic.


MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
The annual garage sale is scheduled for June 14 starting at 8:00 a.m. and it is being organized by Alicia Popham, 662-8790.  Although this event is not sponsored by the Hawthorne Hills Homeowners' Association, many residents look forward to and participate in it.  Remember, there will be extra traffic on this day.  Please be careful and watch for pedestrians.

Recently updated information on the planned interstate bypass on the east side of Bloomington is available at: http://www.mcplan.org/tran/eastside/ecfs.shtml. John Olson is the contact on the board for east side bypass questions

If you have brush or bulk items to dispose of, please remember City Code prohibits any items being placed directly on the street.  All items to be
collected must be placed between the curb and sidewalk area in front of your residence.
