ANNUAL COOKOUT —  AUGUST 25th
Our annual cookout will be held in the park starting at 4 p.m. on August 25. Hotdogs, brats, lemonade, and chips will be provided.  There will also be activities for the kids and entertainment.   Also at the cookout...

  • We will be distributing the Hawthorne Hills Directory

  • A representative from the Bloomington Police Dept. will be available to discuss Neighborhood Watch

  • Some information on Tipton Trails and McGraw Park will be available

Last year’s picnic was a great time... be sure to mark your calendars and come on down to visit with your neighbors.  Be sure to bring your own additional beverages and lawnchairs.

ANNUAL MEETING UPDATE
Our annual meeting will be held on NOVEMBER 13 at 7:00 p.m. Northpoint School. You will receive notification in the mail in advance of this meeting.  Contact any board member if you have agenda items for this meeting.

HAWTHORNE HILLS IMPROVEMENTS
Look for the following completed or upcoming improvements in Hawthorne Hills:

  • New lighting at all the entrances to the subdivision.

  • A flagpole is being installed at the south end of our lake.  We hope to dedicate this at our annual cookout.

  • An ash and two crabapple trees have been planted along the Airport Road levy.

  • Two new nets were purchased, two benches were added, and the fence was repaired at the tennis courts.

  • Landscape and lighting will be added at the Crimson entrance.

  • Work was completed on landscaping around the Japanese Garden at the park.

THANK YOU!
Special thanks to Bob Braastad for assembling the new tennis court benches.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS...

  • There are still some cases of vandalism and theft (including a grill being stolen off someone’s back patio) taking place in subdivisions in our area. Please remember to lock your doors and cars and keep your garage door closed.

  • We had limited success in trying to set up a Neighborhood Watch in the past. If you would be interested in coordinating this, please contact any board member.

  • All dues have been collected.  The Board thanks everyone for their cooperation.
