FINANCIALLY SPEAKING
The Hawthorne Hills Homeowners Association Board adopted
a budget for year 2001 that totals $80,168.
Income includes:
2000 Year end balance $ 7,668
2001 Dues $ 71,750
Interest and other income $ 750
Expenditures will include:
Mowing, irrigation, and
lake maintenance $ 35,404
Utilities, accounting, & misc. $ 7,600
Directory $ 750
General maintenance &
improvements $ 23,414
CD for future projects $ 3,000
Ending operation balance $ 10,000
The CD for future projects represents a stipulation attached
to the dues increase for 2001 passed at the November 13,
2000 annual meeting The stipulation requires a minimum
of $10 of that increase be set aside for future projects.
General Maintenance & Improvement Projects for
2001 include:
A storage shed in the park
Lake aeration
Stone around the lake
A new tennis net
Electrical work in the park
Brick repair at entrances
As always, the board is shooting for a $10,000
cash balance at the end of the year.
ANNUAL GARAGE SALE
The annual garage sale is tentatively planned for June 2 and it is
being organized by Karen Rasmussen,
663-2115. Although this event is not sponsored by the Hawthorne Hills Homeowners'
Association, many residents look forward to and participate in it. Remember, there will be
extra traffic on this day. Please be careful and watch for pedestrians.
This is the final year Karen plans to coordinate this event. If you
have an interest in taking it over, please contact Karen.
